The piece above by Sarah Sze is called Hidden Relief, created in 2001. The piece is made out of everyday objects, such as tripods, rulers, push pins, bottle caps, plants, etc. The size of the piece is 168 x 60 x 12 inches. The piece is in the ICA, it is both additive and subtractive. It everyday objects made to look like a landscape or almost a city. The sculpture uses the element of color, with orange, yellow, red, and blue throughout the sculpture that is mostly white. It also has negative and positive space with the objects and the wall behind it. The sculpture is also asymmetrical, and shows variety through the different objects and colors. The piece shows a community like sculpture, but made out of objects. I think the purpose was to make the viewer think about what it could be specifically. I like the piece, as I think the concept is interesting. It also fits into the time is was made as it is very modern.
